Your stay should be between one and three months. (In this time we will be able to learn a lot about each other and from each other). Our guests are always members of our family. We are doing this, since we had great time with our first guest from New Zealand.
We offer a safe place and a safe way to travel. If you are interested to visit a school here we will assist you.
We like to learn more about other countries, about their culture, food etc. and also to learn more languages. We had 4 girls one from New Zealand, one from Japan and two from the USA. These girls were between 17 years and 29 years old.

Salzgitter has a population of 113000. There are lots of small villages around. In the one we live there are only 1000 other people. We are located approximately 6 min by car to Salzgitter Bad which is a popular resort. There you will find one of the strongest natural thermal baths (special salt water).
In Salzgitter Lebenstedt there is a swim bath also with fitness centre. In the summer you can swim in the lake, sometimes we are surfing there, also or you could do roller-skating. You can walk all-round our area, here we have lots of walkways. What is really funny is the Kneip cure (water step ) in Salzgitter Bad, we should do this together. It is very cold water that you go in with bare feet and walk for 5 min or a little more. It is very good for the blood circulation.

We have a bicycle for our guest in order for her to be a little more flexible.
Most people in this area are evangelists. We both have no religion.

Salzgitter is nearly in the middle of Germany, the next close big city is Hannover
Some information for learning German in the adults education:
The adult education institute is not a private school that means it is not so expensive. To learn how to begin the German courses you could e-mail in English to lutz@vhs-braunschweig.de about more information. If you live here you must know, that the bus will pass just one time per hour. Latest bus will be in our village 9 p.m. You should also understand that we expect you to be most time in the evening together with us. Of course if you need us to pick you up, we will do this but not all days!
