We are a couple of freelance translators in our late 30ies (he: Austrian; she: French). We have done 2 exchanges so far.

Our prefs: WIEN/Vienna. Germany (Osten or Ostseeküste). Spain (Galicia, Valencia, Madrid).

WE ARE OPEN to offers from all over EUROPE, including Scandinavia and all new EU countries. Except mountain areas.

Auray is on the South Coast of Britanny, at the edge of Morbihan Gulf. It is a small town of some 14,000 inhabitants. The flat is close the old and charming port of Saint Goustan. It is situated in a recent (1.5 years), modern and very calm estate with views on a rural environment and the lovely Loch River. The sea is at approx. 8 kms. Sorry, our home is a TV free zone...

The flat has a modern style, informal equipment. Broadband Internet (incl. W-LAN for your own laptop computer), small office facilities - this would be an ideal opportunity also for "working holidays". During long-term exchanges outside holiday periods, having Broadband Internet access would be ideal for us (we bring our own laptop computers). We speak: Deutsch, Français, Español, English, Svenska.

You will find the Quiberon peninsula, several very interesting megalithic sites (i.e. Carnac) and the Morbihan Gulf just nearby. You can do boat trips in the Gulf or to one of the Atlantic islands such as Belle Isle or Hoedic. Watersports (sailing, surfing etc.), walking, biking... Travelling to Auray is possible by train (direct TGV connection to Paris), the closest airports are Nantes, Lorient and Rennes; however a car is necessary during the stay. Car exchange possible. 2 bicycles are at your disposal.

The flat is not suitable for young children. Smoking on the balconies only.
Pet care: We are very animal friendly and don't mind pet caring, EXCEPT cats.
Car exchange is not a must for us. However, you'll need a car during your stay in Auray.
